HMAS Arunta was a Tribal-class destroyer (1936) destroyer of the Royal Australian Navy. She carried the pennant number I30. The ship was named after The Arrernte people. Her keel was laid at Cockatoo Docks and Engineering Company on 15 November 1939. She entered service on 30 March 1942, having been launched on 1 December 1940.

24 ships of the class were built. The class followed the I-class destroyer and was succeeded by the J class.

Displacement was 1,990 long tons. She measured 114.9 m (377 ft) long with a beam of 11.0 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 36.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 190. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 1,254 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 21 December 1956.

She was broken up for scrap in 1968.
