HMAS Nizam was a N-class destroyer in service with the Royal Australian Navy. She was named for Sir Osman Ali Khan. Her keel was laid at John Brown & Company on 27 July 1939. She entered service on 19 December 1940, having been launched on 4 July 1940.
Displacement was 1,773 long tons. She measured 108.5 m (356 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 183.
Her main battery was six 119 mm (4.7 in) guns in three twin mountings. 40,000 shp drove two shafts.
She was in commission for 1,718 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 17 October 1945.
She was broken up for scrap in 1956.
