HMAS Norman was a N-class destroyer of the Royal Australian Navy. She carried the pennant number G49. John I. Thornycroft & Company laid her keel on 27 July 1939. Launched on 30 October 1940, she entered service on 29 September 1941.

She displaced 1,773 long tons standard and 2,384 long tons at full load. She measured 108.5 m (356 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 183. Her main battery was of 120 mm (4.7 in) calibre.

40,000 shp drove two shafts.

She was in commission for 1,435 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in October 1945.

She was broken up for scrap.
