HMCS Hallowell was a River-class frigate in service with the Royal Canadian Navy. She carried the pennant number K666. The ship was named after Hallowell. Canadian Vickers Ltd., Montreal laid her keel on 22 November 1943. Launched on 28 March 1944, she entered service on 8 August 1944.
15 ships of the class were built. The Loch-class frigate followed.
She displaced 1,445 long tons. She measured 91.8 m (301 ft) long with a beam of 11.1 m (37 ft). She carried a complement of 107. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
She served with the Royal Canadian Navy as Hallowell until 7 November 1945. She was in commission for 390 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 7 November 1945.
