HMS Fame was a F-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number H78. Her keel was laid at Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company, Wallsend on 5 July 1933. She was launched on 28 June 1934.

Her class ran to eleven ships. The class followed the C and D-class destroyer and was succeeded by the G and H-class destroyer.

Displacement was 1,405 long tons. She measured 100.3 m (329 ft) long with a beam of 10.1 m (33 ft). Her designed speed was 35.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 145.

Her main battery was four 119 mm (4.7 in) guns. Her machinery developed 36,000 shp.

She served with the Royal Navy as Fame until 4 February 1949. She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap in 1968.
