HMS Forester was a F-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number H74. Her keel was laid at J. Samuel White, Cowes on 15 May 1933. Launched on 28 June 1934, she entered service on 29 March 1935.
Her class ran to eleven ships. The class followed the C and D-class destroyer and was succeeded by the G and H-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,405 long tons. She measured 100.3 m (329 ft) long with a beam of 10.1 m (33 ft). Her designed speed was 35.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 145.
Her main battery was four 119 mm (4.7 in) guns. Her machinery developed 36,000 shp.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in September 1945.
She was broken up for scrap in January 1946.
