HMS Speaker was a escort carrier of the Bogue-class escort carrier (USA) in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number D90. Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding Corporation laid her keel on 9 October 1942. She entered service on 20 November 1943, having been launched on 20 February 1943.

14 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Long Island-class escort carrier and was succeeded by the Sangamon-class escort carrier.

Displacement was 8,333 long tons. She measured 151.2 m (496 ft) long with a beam of 21.0 m (69 ft). Her designed speed was 18 knots, and she carried a complement of 646. Her main battery was of 127 mm (5 in) calibre.
