HMS Untamed was a U-class submarine built for the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number P58. Her keel was laid at Vickers-Armstrongs, High Walker on 9 October 1941. She entered service on 14 April 1943, having been launched on 8 December 1942.

Her class ran to 53 ships.

The boat displaced 540 long tons surfaced and 730 long tons submerged. She measured 58.2 m (191 ft) long with a beam of 4.9 m (16 ft). Her designed speed was 11.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 27.
