Ro-45 was a submarine of the Kaichū type submarine (K6 subclass), operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Mitsubishi, Kobe, Japan laid her keel on 20 October 1942. Launched on 21 July 1943, she entered service on 11 January 1944.

The boat displaced 1,115 long tons surfaced and 1,447 long tons submerged. She measured 80.5 m (264 ft) long with a beam of 7 m (23 ft). Her designed speed was 19.8 knots.

Her main battery was one 76 mm (3 in) guns. Her machinery developed 4,200 bhp.

She was in commission for 181 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 10 July 1944.

She was sunk on 30 April 1944, at 6°13′N 151°19′E. The wreck survives.
