USS Andres was a Evarts class destroyer escort in service with the United States Navy. She was named for Eric Theodore Andres. Philadelphia Navy Yard laid her keel on 12 February 1942. She entered service on 15 March 1943, having been launched on 24 July 1942.

67 ships of the class were built. The class followed the N/A and was succeeded by the Buckley-class destroyer escort.

She displaced 1,430 long tons. She measured 88.1 m (289 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 19 knots, and she carried a complement of 198.
