USS Frybarger was a Buckley-class destroyer escort, operated by the United States Navy. She was named for Raymond Frybarger. Her keel was laid at Defoe Shipbuilding Company, Bay City, Michigan in 1943. She entered service on 18 May 1944, having been launched on 24 January 1944.

98 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Evarts-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Cannon-class destroyer escort.

Displacement was 1,400 long tons standard and 1,740 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 23 knots, and she carried a complement of 213. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 472 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 30 June 1947. She recommissioned on 6 October 1950. She was struck from the register on 1 December 1972.

She was broken up for scrap on 27 November 1973.
