USS Lovelace was a Buckley-class destroyer escort in service with the United States Navy. She was named for Lovelace. Her keel was laid at Norfolk Navy Yard, Portsmouth, Virginia on 22 May 1943. She entered service on 7 November 1943, having been launched on 4 July 1943.

Her class ran to 98 ships. The class followed the Evarts-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Cannon-class destroyer escort.

Displacement was 1,400 long tons. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 7.9 m (26 ft). Her designed speed was 24 knots, and she carried a complement of 213. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 665 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 22 May 1946. She was struck from the register on 1 July 1967.

She was expended as a target on 25 April 1968. The wreck survives.
