HMAS Bataan was a Tribal-class destroyer (1936) destroyer built for the Royal Australian Navy. She was named for Battle of Bataan. Cockatoo Docks and Engineering Company laid her keel on 18 February 1942. Launched on 15 January 1944, she entered service on 25 May 1945.

She was one of 24 ships of her class. The class followed the I-class destroyer and was succeeded by the J class.

Displacement was 2,116 long tons. She measured 115.1 m (377 ft) long with a beam of 11.1 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 36.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 261.

Her main battery was four 119 mm (4.7 in) guns in two twin mountings. Her machinery developed 44,000 shp.

She was in commission for 100 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 18 October 1954.

She was broken up for scrap in 1958.
