HMS Punjabi was a Tribal-class destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L21. The ship was named after Punjabis. Her keel was laid at Scotts Shipbuilding & Engineering, Greenock on 1 October 1936. Launched on 18 December 1937, she entered service on 29 March 1939.

24 ships of the class were built. The class followed the I-class destroyer and was succeeded by the J class.

She displaced 1,891 long tons. She measured 114.9 m (377 ft) long with a beam of 11.0 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 190.

Her main battery was eight 119 mm (4.7 in) guns in four twin mountings. Her machinery developed 44,000 shp.

She was in commission for 973 days of the Second World War.

She was sunk on 1 May 1942 by collision, at 66°00′N 8°00′W. The wreck survives.
