USS Engstrom was a Evarts class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. Her keel was laid at Philadelphia Navy Yard on 1 April 1942. Launched on 24 July 1942, she entered service on 21 June 1943.
She was one of 67 ships of her class. The class followed the N/A and was succeeded by the Buckley-class destroyer escort.
Displacement was 1,430 long tons. She measured 86.3 m (283 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 19 knots, and she carried a complement of 198.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She was in commission for 804 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 19 December 1945. She was struck from the register on 8 January 1946.
She was broken up for scrap on 26 December 1946.
