HMS Hurworth was a Hunt-class destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L28. Vickers-Armstrongs, High Walker laid her keel on 10 April 1940. She entered service on 5 October 1941, having been launched on 16 April 1941.
24 ships of the class were built.
Displacement was 1,050 long tons standard and 1,430 long tons at full load. She measured 85.3 m (280 ft) long with a beam of 9.6 m (31 ft). Her designed speed was 27 knots, and she carried a complement of 168. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
