HMS Subtle was a S-class submarine of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number P251. Her keel was laid at Cammell Laird & Co Limited, Birkenhead on 1 February 1943. Launched on 27 January 1944, she entered service on 16 April 1944.
111 ships of the class were built.
