HMS Sunfish was a S-class submarine, operated by the Royal Navy. Chatham Dockyard laid her keel on 22 July 1935. She entered service on 2 July 1937, having been launched on 30 September 1936.

Her class ran to 111 ships.

The boat displaced 670 long tons surfaced and 960 long tons submerged. She measured 63.4 m (208 ft) long with a beam of 7.3 m (24 ft). Her designed speed was 13.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 39.

Her main battery was one 76 mm (3 in) guns.

She served with the Royal Navy as Sunfish until 1944. She then passed to the Soviet Navy, serving as V 1 from 1944. She was in commission for 2,153 days of the Second World War.

She was sunk on 27 July 1944, at 54°28′N 7°11′E. The wreck survives.
