HNLMS Van Nes was a Admiralen-class destroyer in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy. She carried the pennant number 1930. The ship was named after Jan Jansse van Nes. Burgerhout, Rotterdam laid her keel on 15 August 1928. Launched on 20 March 1930, she entered service on 12 March 1931.
Eight ships of the class were built. The class followed the Wolf-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Gerard Callenburgh-class destroyer.
She displaced 1,316 long tons standard and 1,640 long tons at full load. She measured 98 m (322 ft) long with a beam of 9.5 m (31 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 149.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns. She carried one aircraft. Her machinery developed 31,000 hp.
She was in commission for 900 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 17 February 1942, at 3°27′S 106°38′E. The wreck survives.
