Turbine was a Turbine-class destroyer built for the Regia Marina. She carried the pennant number 1927. The ship was named after Whirlwind. Her keel was laid at Odero, Sestri Ponente on 24 March 1925. Launched on 21 April 1927, she entered service on 28 October 1943.
Eight ships of the class were built. The class followed the Sauro-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Navigatori-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,073 long tons standard and 1,673 long tons at full load. She measured 93.2 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 9.2 m (30 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 179.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns in two twin mountings. 40,000 shp drove two shafts.
She served with the Regia Marina as Turbine until 9 September 1943. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as TA14 from 28 October 1943. She was in commission for 1,793 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 16 September 1944, at 36°57′N 3°58′E. The wreck survives.
