USS Gilmore was a Evarts-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy. The ship was named after Walter William Gilmore. Mare Island Navy Yard laid her keel on 1 April 1942. She entered service on 17 April 1943, having been launched on 22 October 1942.

She was one of 67 ships of her class. The class followed the N/A and was succeeded by the Buckley-class destroyer escort.

She displaced 1,140 long tons. She measured 88.1 m (289 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 19 knots, and she carried a complement of 198. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 869 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 29 December 1945. She was struck from the register on 21 January 1946.

She was broken up for scrap on 1 February 1947.
