USS Lake was a Evarts-class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. Mare Island Navy Yard laid her keel on 22 April 1943. She entered service on 5 February 1944, having been launched on 18 August 1943.
67 ships of the class were built. The class followed the N/A and was succeeded by the Buckley-class destroyer escort.
She displaced 1,140 long tons. She measured 88.1 m (289 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 19 knots, and she carried a complement of 198. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
She was in commission for 575 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 3 December 1945. She was struck from the register on 19 December 1945.
