USS Seid was a Evarts-class destroyer escort, operated by the United States Navy. Her keel was laid at Boston Navy Yard on 10 January 1943. She entered service on 11 June 1943, having been launched on 22 February 1943.

She was one of 67 ships of her class. The class followed the N/A and was succeeded by the Buckley-class destroyer escort.

Displacement was 1,140 long tons. She measured 88.1 m (289 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 19 knots, and she carried a complement of 198. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
