Argo was a Redoutable-class submarine, operated by the Marine Nationale. The ship was named after Argo. Her keel was laid at Chantiers Dubigeon, Nantes, France on 25 August 1927. Launched on 11 April 1929, she entered service on 12 February 1933.
Her class ran to 29 ships.
