Sfax was a Redoutable-class submarine in service with the Marine Nationale. The ship was named after Sfax. Her keel was laid at Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loire, Saint-Nazaire, France on 28 July 1931. Launched on 6 December 1934, she entered service on 7 September 1936.

Her class ran to 29 ships.

The boat displaced 2,084 long tons submerged. She measured 92.3 m (303 ft) long with a beam of 8.2 m (27 ft). Her designed speed was 20 knots, and she carried a complement of 61.

Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.

She was in commission for 475 days of the Second World War.

She was sunk on 19 December 1940, at 58°30′N 5°30′E. The wreck survives.
