HMCS Sault Ste. Marie was a destroyer escort of the Algerine-class minesweeper of the Royal Canadian Navy. She carried the pennant number J334. Port Arthur Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Port Arthur laid her keel on 27 January 1942. She entered service on 24 June 1943, having been launched on 5 August 1942.
She was one of 14 ships of her class. The class followed the Bangor-class minesweeper and was succeeded by the Ton-class minesweeper.
Displacement was 1,030 long tons standard and 1,325 long tons at full load. She measured 68.6 m (225 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 16.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 85. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
Her machinery developed 2,400 ihp through two shafts.
She was in commission for 801 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 1 December 1946. She recommissioned on 7 May 1949.
She was broken up for scrap in 1960.
