HMS Avon Vale was a Type II Hunt-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L06. Her keel was laid at John Brown Shipbuilding & Engineering Company Ltd. (Clydebank, Scotland) on 12 February 1940. Launched on 23 October 1940, she entered service on 17 February 1941.
She displaced 1,050 long tons standard and 1,490 long tons at full load. She measured 85.3 m (280 ft) long with a beam of 9.6 m (32 ft). Her designed speed was 25.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 164. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
She was in commission for 1,658 days of the Second World War.
She was broken up for scrap in 1958.
