HMS Termagant was a T-class destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R89. William Denny and Brothers, Dumbarton laid her keel on 25 November 1941. Launched on 22 March 1943, she entered service on 8 October 1943.

Her class ran to nine ships. The class followed the Q and R-class destroyer and was succeeded by the U and V-class destroyer.

She displaced 1,710 long tons standard and 2,505 long tons at full load. She measured 110.3 m (362 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 180.

Her main battery was two 40 mm (1.6 in) guns.
