HMS Tuscan was a T-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R56. Swan Hunter laid her keel on 6 September 1941. Launched on 28 May 1942, she entered service on 11 March 1943.

Nine ships of the class were built. The class followed the Q and R-class destroyer and was succeeded by the U and V-class destroyer.

Displacement was 1,710 long tons standard and 2,505 long tons at full load. She measured 110.3 m (362 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 180.

Her main battery was two 40 mm (1.6 in) guns.

She was in commission for 906 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap on 26 May 1966.
