HMS Virulent was a V-class submarine in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number P95. Her keel was laid at Vickers-Armstrongs, High Walker on 30 March 1943. Launched on 23 May 1944, she entered service on 1 October 1944.
She was one of 30 ships of her class. The class followed the Nelson-class battleship and was succeeded by the Lion-class battleship.
The boat displaced 545 long tons surfaced and 740 long tons submerged. She measured 62.2 m (204 ft) long with a beam of 4.9 m (16 ft). Her designed speed was 11.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 33. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
She served with the Royal Navy as HMS Virulent until 29 May 1946. She then passed to the Hellenic Navy, serving as Argonaftis from 29 May 1946. She was in commission for 336 days of the Second World War.
She was broken up for scrap on 15 December 1958.
