I-371 was a Type D1 submarine in service with the Imperial Japanese Navy. Mitsubishi, Kobe, Japan laid her keel on 22 March 1944. Launched on 21 July 1944, she entered service on 2 October 1944.

The boat displaced 1,440 long tons surfaced and 2,215 long tons submerged. She measured 73.5 m (241 ft) long with a beam of 8.9 m (29 ft). Her designed speed was 13 knots, and she carried a complement of 55.

Her main battery was one 140 mm (5.5 in) guns.

She was in commission for 190 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 10 April 1945.

She was sunk in February 1945, at 32°40′N 132°33′E. The wreck survives.
