I-372 was a Type D1 submarine built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her keel was laid at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, Yokosuka, Japan on 10 February 1944. Launched on 26 June 1944, she entered service on 8 November 1944.

The boat displaced 1,440 long tons surfaced and 2,215 long tons submerged. She measured 73.5 m (241 ft) long with a beam of 8.9 m (29 ft). Her designed speed was 13 knots, and she carried a complement of 55.

Her main battery was one 140 mm (5.5 in) guns.

She was in commission for 252 days of the Second World War.

She was scuttled on 18 July 1945. The wreck survives.
