I-58 was a submarine of the Kaidai-class submarine (KD3A Type) in service with the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1925. Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, Yokosuka, Japan laid her keel on 3 December 1924. She entered service on 15 May 1928, having been launched on 3 October 1925.

Her class ran to 20 ships.

The boat displaced 1,800 long tons surfaced and 2,300 long tons submerged. She measured 100 m (328 ft) long with a beam of 8 m (26 ft). Her designed speed was 20 knots, and she carried a complement of 60.

Her main battery was one 120 mm (4.7 in) guns. Her machinery developed 6,800 bhp.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War.

She was scuttled on 2 September 1945, at 5°00′S 112°00′E. The wreck survives.
