USS Grayson was a Gleaves-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was named for Cary Travers Grayson. Charleston Navy Yard laid her keel on 17 July 1939. She entered service on 14 February 1941, having been launched on 7 August 1940.

She was one of 66 ships of her class. The class followed the Benson-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Fletcher-class destroyer.

Displacement was 1,630 long tons. She measured 106.1 m (348 ft) long with a beam of 11.0 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 37.4 knots, and she carried a complement of 276.

Her main battery was four 127 mm (5 in) guns.

She was in commission for 1,661 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 4 February 1947. She was struck from the register on 1 June 1972.

She was broken up for scrap on 12 June 1974.
