HMS Zetland was a Type II Hunt-class destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L59. The ship was named after Zetland Hunt. Her keel was laid at Yarrow Shipbuilders, Glasgow on 2 October 1940. She entered service on 27 June 1942, having been launched on 7 March 1942.

Displacement was 1,050 long tons standard and 1,490 long tons at full load. She measured 85.3 m (280 ft) long with a beam of 9.6 m (32 ft). Her designed speed was 25.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 164. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.

She served with the Royal Navy as HMS Zetland until 1952. She then passed to the Royal Norwegian Navy, serving as HNoMS Tromsø from 1952. She was in commission for 1,163 days of the Second World War.
