Artigliere was a Soldati-class destroyer built for the Regia Marina. She carried the pennant number 1937. She was named for Artilleryman. Her keel was laid at O.T.O., Livorno on 15 February 1937. She was launched on 19 December 1937.
Her class ran to 17 ships. The class followed the Oriani-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Comandanti Medaglie d'Oro-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,850 long tons standard and 2,550 long tons at full load. She measured 106.7 m (350 ft) long with a beam of 10.2 m (33 ft). Her designed speed was 35 knots, and she carried a complement of 206.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns in two twin mountings. Her machinery developed 48,000 shp through two shafts.
She was in commission for 407 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 12 October 1940. The wreck survives.
