I-32 was a Type B1 submarine in service with the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her keel was laid at Sasebo Naval Arsenal, Sasebo, Japan on 20 January 1940. Launched on 17 December 1940, she entered service on 26 April 1942.

The class followed the Type J3 submarine and was succeeded by the Type B2 submarine.

The boat displaced 2,584 long tons surfaced and 3,654 long tons submerged. She measured 108.7 m (357 ft) long with a beam of 9.3 m (31 ft). Her designed speed was 23.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 94.

Her main battery was one 140 mm (5.5 in) guns. She carried one aircraft.
