I-370 was a Type D1 submarine, operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Mitsubishi, Kobe, Japan laid her keel on 4 December 1943. Launched on 26 May 1944, she entered service on 4 September 1944.
The boat displaced 1,440 long tons surfaced and 2,215 long tons submerged. She measured 73.5 m (241 ft) long with a beam of 8.9 m (29 ft). Her designed speed was 13 knots, and she carried a complement of 55.
Her main battery was one 140 mm (5.5 in) guns.
She was in commission for 218 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 10 April 1945.
She was sunk on 26 February 1945, at 22°44′N 141°26′E. The wreck survives.
