USS Marocain was a frigate of the Cannon-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy. Her keel was laid at Dravo Corporation, Wilmington, Delaware on 7 September 1943. Launched on 1 January 1944, she entered service on 29 February 1944.

She was one of 79 ships of her class. The class followed the Buckley-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Edsall-class destroyer escort.

She displaced 1,240 long tons. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.0 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 216. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.

She served with the United States Navy as USS Marocain (DE-109) until 14 May 1952. She then passed to the Marine Nationale, serving as Marocain (F-705) from 29 February 1944. She then passed to the Marine Nationale, serving as Marocain (F-705) from 14 October 1946. She was in commission for 1,104 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 14 May 1952.

She was transferred in May 1964.
