HMS Sierra Leone was a Colony-class frigate/Tacoma-class patrol frigate built for the United States Navy. She carried the pennant number K593. Her keel was laid on 7 October 1943. She entered service on 16 March 1944, having been launched on 5 November 1943.
She was one of 45 ships of her class.
Displacement was 1,264 long tons. She measured 92.3 m (303 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 20 knots, and she carried a complement of 190.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She served with the United States Navy as USS Phillimore until 16 March 1944. She then passed to the Royal Navy, serving as HMS Perim from 16 March 1944. She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1945.
