EK-21 was a Tacoma-class frigate in service with the United States Navy. The ship was named after City of Burlington. Her keel was laid on 19 October 1943. She entered service on 3 April 1944, having been launched on 7 December 1943.
She was one of 76 ships of her class. The class followed the Asheville-class patrol frigate and was succeeded by the none.
She displaced 1,264 long tons. She measured 92.3 m (303 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 20 knots, and she carried a complement of 190. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
She served with the United States Navy as Burlington until 28 May 1953. She then passed to the Soviet Navy, serving as EK-21 from 26 August 1945. She was in commission for 524 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 26 August 1945. She recommissioned on 5 January 1951. She was struck from the register on 28 May 1953.
She was broken up for scrap in 1968.
