USS Dortch was a Fletcher-class destroyer, operated by the United States Navy. The ship was named after Isaac Foote Dortch. Her keel was laid at Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Kearny, New Jersey on 2 March 1943. Launched on 20 June 1943, she entered service on 7 August 1943.
173 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Gleaves-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer.
Displacement was 2,050 long tons. She measured 114.6 m (376 ft) long with a beam of 11.9 m (39 ft). Her designed speed was 38 knots, and she carried a complement of 329.
Her main battery was five 127 mm (5 in) guns.
She served with the United States Navy until 13 December 1957. She then passed to the Argentine Navy, serving as Espora from 16 August 1961. She was in commission for 757 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 13 December 1957. She was struck from the register on 1 September 1975.
She was broken up for scrap in 1977.
