USS Harveson was a Edsall-class destroyer escort, operated by the United States Navy. She was named for Herold Aloysius Harveson. Consolidated Steel Corporation, Orange, Texas laid her keel on 9 March 1943. She entered service on 12 October 1943, having been launched on 22 May 1943.

Her class ran to 78 ships. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.

She displaced 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.

Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.

She was in commission for 691 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 30 June 1960. She was struck from the register on 1 December 1966.

She was expended as a target on 10 October 1967. The wreck survives.
