USS Haverfield was a Edsall-class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. She was named for James Wallace Haverfield. Her keel was laid at Brown Shipbuilding, Houston, Texas on 1 July 1943. She entered service on 29 November 1943, having been launched on 30 August 1943.
Her class ran to 78 ships. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.
Displacement was 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She was in commission for 644 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 2 June 1969. She was struck from the register on 2 June 1969.
She was broken up for scrap on 15 December 1971.
