HMS Caicos was a Colony-class frigate, operated by the United States Navy. Walsh-Kaiser Company, Providence, Rhode Island laid her keel on 23 April 1943. She was commissioned on 31 December 1943.
Her class ran to 45 ships.
Displacement was 1,430 long tons standard and 2,415 long tons at full load. She measured 92.7 m (304 ft) long with a beam of 11.4 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 20.3 knots, and she carried a complement of 175.
Her main battery was two 105 mm (4.1 in) guns.
She served with the United States Navy as USS Hannam until 31 December 1943. She then passed to the Royal Navy, serving as HMS Caicos from 31 December 1943. She then passed to the United States Navy from 12 December 1945. She then passed to the Argentine Navy, serving as ARA Trinidad from 1948. She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1945. She was struck from the register on 20 February 1969.
She was broken up for scrap in 1971.
