USS Casper was a destroyer escort of the Tacoma-class frigate patrol frigate of the United States Navy. She carried the pennant number PG-120. The ship was named after City of Casper. Her keel was laid on 17 October 1943. Launched on 27 December 1943, she entered service on 31 March 1944.
She was one of 76 ships of her class. The class followed the Asheville-class patrol frigate and was succeeded by the none.
Displacement was 2,415 long tons. She measured 92.3 m (303 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 20.3 knots, and she carried a complement of 190.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns. Her machinery developed 5,500 ihp.
She was in commission for 523 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 16 May 1946.
She was broken up for scrap on 20 May 1947.
