USS Kendrick was a Benson-class destroyer, operated by the United States Navy. The ship was named after Charles S. Kendrick. She was built by Bethlehem Shipbuilding, San Pedro, California. Launched on 2 April 1942, she entered service on 12 September 1942.

30 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Sims-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Gleaves-class destroyer.

She displaced 1,620 long tons. She measured 106.1 m (348 ft) long with a beam of 11.0 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 37.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 256.

Her main battery was four 127 mm (5 in) guns.
