USS Menges was a Edsall-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy. The ship was named after Herbert Hugo Menges. Consolidated Steel Corporation, Orange, Texas laid her keel on 22 March 1943. She entered service on 26 October 1943, having been launched on 15 June 1943.
Her class ran to 78 ships. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.
Displacement was 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She was in commission for 677 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in January 1947. She was struck from the register on 2 January 1971.
She was broken up for scrap.
