USS Mills was a Edsall-class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. She was named for Lloyd Jones Mills. Brown Shipbuilding, Houston, Texas laid her keel on 26 March 1943. Launched on 26 May 1943, she entered service on 12 October 1943.

78 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.

Displacement was 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.

Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.

She was in commission for 691 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 27 October 1970. She was struck from the register on 1 August 1974.

She was broken up for scrap on 12 March 1975.
