USS Moore was a Edsall-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy. The ship was named after Fred Kenneth Moore. Her keel was laid at Brown Shipbuilding Houston, Texas on 20 July 1942. She entered service on 1 July 1943, having been launched on 21 December 1942.
78 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.
She displaced 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She was in commission for 794 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 30 June 1947. She was struck from the register on 1 August 1973.
She was expended as a target on 13 June 1975. The wreck survives.
